Surgery is a technical specialty. There is no doubt about it.
As much as your brains work, so must your hands. A young surgeon looks at an accomplished surgeon and wonders how the process is done. Kirk lectured in MMC, Madurai when I was medical student and the best thing that I remember out of that lecture is "Choose well, cut well and get well".
Surgical Ninjas is about that "cut well" thing.
I think confidence flows about of your ability to handle a problem and ability to solve surgical problems on the go, will drive your ability to perform good surgical procedures and handle unexpected problems.
